In villages of Nepal, food is plentiful until it runs out-- and then children are often hungry until the next harvest. Farm labor might be the only job available, and the pay is very low. The city offers more jobs, but there is no land to farm and poor children in the city are often in greater need than the village kids. Children in our Nepal sponsorship programs are administered under a good mother church. In most cases, the child would not be able to attend school without a sponsor.
