Grishma

Maranatha Children's Home is in a very poor district of Nepal. The children come from all walks of life and circumstances. Most of the kids are from Hindu or Buddhist backgrounds, but some are from Christian families. Most of them have some family ties and return for visits during school breaks, but a few have nowhere to go. All of the children are taught from the Bible regularly and weekly worship services. The children are enrolled in a private school. They help with care of animals and crops growing on the property, learning information and skills which they will need to survive when they return to life in a village. We bring in teachers to work with children who are interested in learning a musical instrument, computer skills and/or sewing.

Faraja

The Burundi Orphan Program (BOP) exists for children who have lost one or both parents because of death or abandonment-- or circumstances so difficult that the child cannot live with their family. Each child is living in another family for care, a family that may be struggling to provide for their own children and accepting another at great sacrifice; in many cases, it is a pastor and his family who have received the child. Allow The Children comes alongside these families, by sponsoring the children, to help with their educational costs and basic needs. Every child is also part of a church family. Our hope is that as they are being discipled in the Word these children will grow and become committed believers that minister to others.

One of our partner missionaries has followed the Lord's leading to go to a remote and underprivileged part of Burundi, Africa, to plant a church and share the gospel. In that area, he found many deaf children who have no access to language, the gospel, or the opportunity to attend school. To meet these needs, the Gisuru School for the Deaf was built. Allow is supporting this newly established Deaf School so these children can receive access to communication and education in sign language.
