In some cases, a relative is found who is willing to care for the child but needs help to provide for the needs. Prince Adom

Sponsorship for this child is paid directly to the school to provide for his or her education and a daily lunch. The school is a partner ministry, operated by a church for the purpose of evangelization and providing some education for the very poorest children in the surrounding neighborhood. Prince Carmel

The Ephphatha School for the Deaf is the first school established in Burundi for deaf children. The children learn to communicate through sign language and have access to the gospel, perhaps for the first time. Most of the deaf children live residentially at the school and return to their families during school breaks. After middle school, each student must pass an exam to continue into the higher grades or they can choose to take a two year course to learn sewing as a way to make a living.
