Sponsor a Child
One ongoing, pressing need we always have is for more individual sponsors. Sponsors touch the child's life through prayer and personal letters. Providing for a child in one of our children's homes enables us to receive another Hindu or Buddhist child to hear the gospel, a child whose circumstances may be quite desperate. Sponsoring through one of our church family programs, means school, food, clothing and medical care for a needy believer's child- often the son or daughter of a pastor or widow. $24/month makes a tremendous difference for a family in Nepal.

Help a Children's Home
Gifts given directly to a children's home help in the same way as sponsor gifts, often meeting urgent needs of unsponsored children. One-time gifts or regular gifts on any schedule, of any amount, provide stability and blessing for these homes. No letters to write, but donors will receive the same newsletter reports as sponsors.

Equip a village evangelist -- $100 covers food and supplies for a team (5 men, 3 days walking) of Nepali trainer/evangelists to minister to one village. $7 covers supplies for one man, one day. $100 for medicines for one village.
Micro-business Projects -- Through one of our churches, a family receiving 2 goats or pigs agrees to raise them and begin a small means of self support which brings needed income and possibly even survival. The family agrees to return the same number of animals-- offspring of their own-- to the program within a set time. In this way, once the start up is provided, the program will perpetuate itself. A goat or a pig costs $50. The same gift can provide a group of chickens or fish for a fish farming project.
Bibles -- are provided for each child who comes into our sponsorship program and also distributed among the villages during evangelistic outreaches and for believers in the churches who do not have one.
$15 for 5 Bibles
Bible tracts -- $7 for 100 tracts
Bicycles -- are a critical need for transportation to the villages.
$40 provides a bicycle for a pastor or evangelist.
Sewing Machines -- provide income for a widow or a means for a woman evangelist to teach a needed skill while sharing the gospel.
$75 provides a sewing machine
Children's chewable vitamins -- Vitamins are always needed for our children who suffer some degree of malnutriton. The vitamins are not available in country. They must be purchased here and carried in. A gift of any amount is a blessing for this project.
Pastor's Training Conference -- We have an excellent and very qualified Bible teacher who will go to Nepal twice a year (until the program is complete) to teach our pastors. This is a planned, systematic course designed to give basic Bible training and in depth study for the same group of men each session. The teaching modules are 5 days, all day, for about 48 participants.
Each module costs about $1000 for food, materials, transportation and communication.
This ministry will multiply many times over as these dedicated pastors return to bring God's Word to their people.
Leprosy Village -- Many people in Nepal are poor, but a village of lepers is truly the poorest of the poor. Many of these people cannot even cook food for themselves because the disease has left them without the use of their hands. What can we do? One of our churches will lead a project to build a small kitchen in the village. About $2000 start up funds are needed to complete what is already on hand for the building and equipment. Then, $200/month operating expenses will cover the cost of food and a hired cook to meet this very basic need.
Furniture -- Several of our children's homes need another bunk set or other furnishings. About $250 covers the cost of a hand built wooden bunk ( including 2 mattresses, 2 sets of sheets, 2 pillows and 2 heavy blankets). A clothes closet costs about $150. A dining/ homework table costs about $150.
Jesus Video -- Help us take the Jesus video to a village! Believers and non--believers alike gather enthusiastically to see and hear the beloved Story.... The gospel is clearly given in their own language. Follow up and discipleship of those who come is always and carefully done. Costs include transportation, petrol, tracts and sometimes food for the gathering. Our partners use this tool regularly in their village work, but your gift will get the message to ONE MORE village where they could not go without help with the expenses. $100 is enough sometimes. Other locations and terrain are more difficult and more costly to reach.
