May 1st Celebration
May 1st is the Anniversary of the Tibet Ministry and birthday celebration for all of the children. Every child and worker receives a gift.
The leaders and relatives from the Tibetan camp come every year for the program in which the children perform songs and skits, give testimonies of their faith and a gospel message is presented.
Allow The Children funds the project which includes food for several hundred people, rented equipment and the gifts.
Tibet Projects
New Addition!
A bedroom with attached bathroom is needed for the house parents of Tibet Ministry. They also want to expand the small kitchen annex, the storage room and one additional sleeping room. The estimated cost is $25,000 (April 2009) but building costs continue to rise rapidly in Nepal.
Education Fund
"What job do you want when you grow up?" we often ask the children. Each year, a new group of Tibet Ministry kids complete basic education and hope to move on to the next level, called "Plus 2." This is two more years of specialized education.
Acceptance in a "Plus 2" program is competitive and expensive. We have established a fund to help students who have the ability and desire to continue on with their educations in Bible, nursing, business management and whatever field the individual student chooses.
