Our mission is to be used by God as He answers the cry of the lost and helpless children of the world.

Rice Fields & Processing Facility Project
Bujumbura, Burundi
Rice is the main food staple of Burundi and thus in great demand. It is also the main food served at the Gihanga Blind School & the Ephphatha Deaf School, ministry partners of ATC.
The schools have been severely impacted by rising food prices/inflation, withdrawal of food donations from NGOs and the government's decision to cease providing water and electricity at no cost for the education of handicapped children.
The rice projects will purchase prime rice growing fields for the schools and provide a rice processing machine and storage facility. These fields will provide all the rice needs of the two schools and still have a significant amount of rice to sell at market.
The fields can also be used to grow other crops when rice is out of season, foods that will improve the nutrition at the schools and can be sold at market.
The rice machine and storage facility will offer the ability to process and store all the rice for the two schools but will also be an ongoing income-generating business to help the school budgets. Many rice farmers will come to the new facility to have their rice processed and stored until they can transport it to market.
The rice fields and the rice processing machine & storage facility offer significant assistance to the schools food supply and both projects will generate income to improve their budgets. These projects have assured demand and will be self-sustaining, and both projects will produce food and income for the over 200 at the schools today and for generations of kids yet to come.
Please give prayerful consideration to helping move these projects forward today.
PRAISE THE LORD! TWO beautiful, large rice fields have been purchased for the deaf & blind schools to raise their own rice. This is a major step forward, now we are praying & working toward the renovation of a building to serve as a Rice Storage and Processing Center.
Of course, once the building is ready we will need a Rice Processing Machine. When this three-step project is complete both schools will have a bountiful supply of rice AND a steady businees that will supply needed revenue and Processing Center.
A by-product supply of food for the school animals will also be generated..
This is an empowering project that moves both schools toward self-sustaining status, yet we recognize the grace of God as the source of every good thing in each milestone.
