Our mission is to be used by God as He answers the cry of the lost and helpless children of the world.

A Fanta & a banana are as iconic in Burundi as a Coke and a hot dog in America. It's a great pleasure to give these special treats when we meet with the kids to update their photos and personal information to send to their sponsors.
These kids would never receive such treats except for the love of God being expressed through their Child Sponsors. It's a great feeling to bring such smiles to these little ones.
There are so many more orphans still waiting for a Child Sponsor, and many of them have never heard of Jesus Christ.
Rainbow Outreach - Matana

Child Sponsors of the Rainbow Centre in the Bujumbura area specifically help 'graduates' of the Centre, young children who have been through the Arms of Love Baby Home (where abandoned babies are rescued & nursed back to health) and are now living in foster homes we have named Rainbow Outreach Homes (ROH).
The ROH caregivers are mostly widows, deeply committed Christian women who, although they live in true poverty, feel a calling to be a "Mama" to a child who has none. Sponsorship will strengthen child & "Mama" in these very special relationships, and enable the child to attend school.
This new area, Rainbow Outreach - Matana (ROM), lies 2-1/2 hours into the mountains south of Bujumbura in a very poor area where the first mission church was established in Burundi. Almost everyone here either herds animals or cultivates the soil, there simply is no other work. The higher elevations here are where most of Burundi's tea is grown and eucalyptus trees are abundant also.
The long civil war & the spread of AIDS has left many orphans throughout Burundi, including the Matana area. The churches are attempting to help these children through a program of foster care similar to what we are doing with the Rainbow Centre in the Bujumbura area. There are many church families who are helping, but caring for additional children is a great struggle.
Child Sponsorship in a ROM home will bless the entire family since these families live on such small amounts of money. Your monthly donation as a sponsor will provide the means to purchase food, clothes & see the child is in school, and there will be a little left over to help the family. The Rainbow Centre is working with this program & serving as a channel to pass ATC sponsor funds on to the Matana homes.
Please pray we will be able to accept more of these very special & needy children into our program.
