Our mission is to be used by God as He answers the cry of the lost and helpless children of the world.
(Psalm 72:12-14)
Children in villages far from the cities are often malnourished, poorly clothed, with little or no medical care.
Schools, if they exist at all, are minimally funded and offer only through the fifth grade, even that at a very low standard of education.
If a family comes to the Lord, there are usually no churches within walking distance. Their cell group leader is another forager/farmer like themselves with no Bible knowledge and may not even be able to read.
The village evangelist does not neglect the physical needs as he ministers spiritually. Baby believers are all over the mountains and he visits them regularly, feeding, tending their needs and helping them grow.
Village Evangelism
Village Evangelism is a very effective ministry among the mountain villages in Nepal. Hindu villagers will rarely listen to a gospel message from someone they do not
know and an evangelist who enters a village preaching will likely be met with hostility. But if he comes as a teacher or "trainer" bringing help in areas the people need, they will listen enthusiastically.
The village evangelists are Nepali believers who want to help to meet the needs of the whole person. These men often walk for hours or days to reach the village. They teach topics such as health and hygiene, literacy, agriculture and animal raising. If they have the funding, they bring simple medicines like acetaminophen, antibiotic ointment, anti-diarrheals and vitamins.
They truly care and the people respond with appreciation and friendship. As the relationship grows, the evangelist shares the gospel with them. As a result of this work and this method, many small cell groups of believers have formed in the mountains, and slowly grow into churches.
The evangelist continues to visit the village, ministering, encouraging, discipling. When it is possible to show the Jesus Video, the whole village will gather.
Allow The Children is helping by
- Receiving children of cell group leaders into the sponsorship program.

- Providing Bibles for the believers and tracts to be used for evangelism.
- Providing vitamins and other medicines for the outreach visits.
- Funding petrol needed for the generator to show the Jesus Video and for the vehicle to travel as near as possible to the village.
- Funding conferences for training pastors and other church leaders (Training of Trainers) to reach villages in this way.
- Medical clinics to bless the people and open more opportunities for the pastors to minister to the people.
- Seeking personal and ministry support for the evangelists - about $50/month.
- Providing chickens, goats, seeds, sewing machines to help the evangelists provide for their families and enable their ministries.
