Where We Serve
Our mission is to be used by God as He answers the cry of the lost and helpless children of the world.
(Psalm 72:12-14)
Tohid's mother died leaving the family in great need. His father works as a day laborer for very little income. He is away from early morning until after dark and there was no one to take care of the children. School was impossible to consider, with food being the critical need.
When kids come for picture, they always wear the best clothing they can find, but the torn dirty one in the first picture was all that Tohid had.
Now, he is living in Light and Life Home. He has enough food and clothing and he is enrolled in school.
Children's Homes in Bangladesh
Impoverished countries like Bangladesh have many children with desperate needs. Some of the children in our homes are fully orphaned with no relatives able to care for them. Some are the child of a widowed mother who just could not meet the needs of her children. A few are children of pastors who work with us, but they are in difficult areas where the children cannot attend school because of harrassment for their Christian faith. And-- some of the children come from backgrounds where they are hearing of the Lord Jesus Christ for perhaps the first time.
They will receive care in a loving Christian atmosphere with daily Bible teaching. We are praying that they will grow to be strong believers and godly leaders among their people.
