Timothy Home

a ministry partner of Allow The Children

I Timothy 4: 12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Two brothers came to the capital city after the school in their village was destroyed by a mudslide. Their father hired a small room and enrolled them in school. It must have been very difficult for him to leave them there alone, but education was their hope for a future. The older brother was only twelve. The father returned to the village, hours away, where God has called him to pastor. The boys began faithful attendance in a church where we were just beginning our sponsorship program. The two brothers were among the first children received in the Allow The Children program. As time went on, the youngest brother joined them. Timothy Home was "founded" in 2007 when a flat was rented and furnished for the boys. Adult responsibilities came to Prakash very early, as he spent his teen years fending for himself and caring for his brothers. Throughout those years, his heart and his life have been a beautiful picture of I Timothy 4:12 ....an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity... Now, he is our youngest ministry partner-- the "housefather" of Timothy Home and studying to be a pastor. We praise the Lord for the privilege of having a part in preparing this young "Timothy" for His glory and look forward to training many more young men for ministry through Timothy Home.
