Many feared that Simon would die on the night he fell from the church roof, but he recovered back to a very active, and occasionally naughty little boy. His mother was a Christian before his injuries, but the help they received that night drew her closer to the church than ever. Simon's father, a Hindu, was also moved by the love and compassion shown by the Christians for his family. He began attending the church and was saved after several months. Now the family is very faithful to the church and growing in their faith and love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Medical Care

Imagine the horror of learning that your small child has fallen from the roof of a two story building. Now imagine that he cannot receive medical treatment without payment up front and you have no money! Those were the circumstances as Simon lay unconscious after a serious fall from the roof of the church. Their pastor stepped in to help, taking Simon to the local hospital and paying for the emergency treatment from the church account. But an x-ray showed that his skull was fractured. He needed surgery and once again, it must be paid in full - and it was more than the church could pay. Allow The Children covered the costs of the surgery and the hospitalization. Simon recovered and was received into our sponsorship program which meant that he could enroll in school.
