Maranatha Home/Training Center Project
Nepal

a ministry partner of Allow The Children

Maranatha Children's Home, Chitwan, Nepal, shelters and disciples 20 children from profoundly poor mountain villages. Almost all of the Christians in this area are new believers, fruit of very recent soul winning efforts. Schools offering through the fifth grade level are also new in the last few years. Christians gather in homes for worship, but the leader may have very little Bible knowledge and may not be able to read. Maranatha Home children are not orphans or abandoned. They are fifth grade graduates from believers' families who have a strong desire to continue their education. Allow The Children will provide basic needs and education , alongside Bible training and godly examples with in the home. In a few years, we hope and pray to begin returning educated and well discipled leaders back to the villages. Training women is equally important to men in this culture where a personal relationship and witness to a woman must come through another woman. Sponsors are still needed for some of the Maranatha Home children. $24/month helps us prepare a leader.

Maranatha Training Center need A facility needed with kitchen and overnight sleeping space for:

  • Monthly training for pastors/cell group leaders
  • Women's Bible conferences
  • Community health teaching for believers and evangelism
  • Sewing classes and English literacy to build relationships and evangelize
  • Medical clinics to help believers and for evangelism
  • Possible church plant as outreaches bear fruit
  • Allow The Children events and administration -such as gathering of the sponsored kids from the mountain villages for updates.

Maranatha Children's Home need

  • A building site for a permanent home large enough to house fifty children.
  • An adjoining tract of land for the kids to farm- providing some of their own needs and learning skills needed for life in the villages no matter what other job they might choose.

The Vision!
Someday the Maranatha Children will BE the teachers and ministers to the dear people of the Chitwan mountain villages who need the Savior. Many of the children's parents are among the believers coming, often from far distances on foot, to receive training. We want to combine the children's home and the training center in one facility for the glory of God and the mutual benefit of all the ministries. They are already under the same evangelist leader. The Bible, health and vocational skills training are already planned for the children as well as the adults. One kitchen can serve the daily needs of the children and less frequent (probably weekly) needs of the adult gatherings. This is a huge project for our little ministry, but we have a very great God. Please pray with us as we wait for His leading.

April 08 Update!! Full funding for the land purchase has been provided! Now, we are waiting with anticipation for the Lord to move someone or many individuals for the building.

The building project will be divided into 5 phases:

#1 - $25,000 - Main floor dormitory and temporary kitchen for Maranatha children
#2 - $25,000 - Second floor dormitory rooms for children
    #3 - $25,000 - Main floor Kitchen/dining
#4 - $25,000 - Second floor large open room for worship and training
#5 - $25,000 - Third floor dormitory rooms (then convert main floor dorm to sitting room, work room, office, etc.)
