These children attended a dedication for the newly built church in their village. Located in a remote mountain area, it is completely inaccessible by any kind of vehicle and even mules cannot make the climb. Strong and fit Nepalis used to the terrain say the last leg to the village is a 5 hour climb. All of the building materials were carried up on the backs of the men. On the day before the dedication, our partners who were NOT used to the climb, needed 9 hours to reach the village. They carried the Jesus Video for all of the villagers-- Christians AND Hindu to see-- and also carried a projector, generator and petrol to make the presentation of the gospel possible. Many people heard the story that we love so much for the very first time.

Butwal Bethany ministers to a local body of believers, but also has a strong outreach to the surrounding villages. More than eight daughter fellowships have formed and are growing well. The church has provided a pastor for each one and supervises building projects to provide a modest building for worship. As the church serves these ministries, Allow The Children follows, sponsoring some of the neediest children, providing project funds, praying and praising alongside the Nepali believers.

Allow The Children has completed two daughter church buildings in villages too poor to have any hope of ever having a place to worship without help. Their first request was for $1000 to build one simple room with concrete block and a thatch roof. We learned that $2500 would allow them to have a tin roof and a toilet. The money is used for materials only. The men of the church do all of the work. One village church was completed in October 2007 and the second in June 2008.

We have requests to help with three more village churches. This is a something that will outlast your lifetime and, if the Lord delays His return, will bless generations to come with a place to worship and teach God's Word.
