Blessed Children's Home Nepal
a ministry partner of Allow The Children
We were just stopping by to visit the pastor for a completely different reason, when we heard little voices from within the walls of the church. Thirteen children were living in the small concrete church. It was October, and the temperature was dropping, but none had a jacket and only about half had shoes. We learned that they had been orphaned by a mudslide which devastated their village. The pastor had not intended to start an orphanage and had no means to do so, but he could not leave the children helpless in the devastated village. Allow The Children had not intended to take another home into our program, but the choice now waited before us. We quickly supplied the emergency funds for shoes and jackets and food. God confirmed in our hearts that He had given the privilege of this ministry to us. The children were Hindus and had suffered great tragedy in their livesÑbut now they are learning of Jesus Christ and the way to eternal life in Him. More children in desperate circumstances have come and as sponsors help with the support, still another can be received... and another.
How can we reach Hindus for Christ? One way is to rescue orphaned and abandoned children and supply needs as faithful Nepali believers teach them about Jesus and carefully disciple them to be witnesses for Him.
Blessed Home Building Project
In the spring of 2008, Blessed Home rejoiced at the completion of the third floor-- which doubled the dormitory space available for the children. The building funds are now completely depleted, but another $20,000 is needed to complete the final 1/2 floor, enclose the stairs and railing on the roof. We pray that this building will stand as a refuge for helpless children for many years to come, perhaps until the Lord returns.
