Paul and Charla Parks
God has truly blessed Paul and Charla with a great friendship, marriage, and 2 wonderful
children. Over the years, Paul and Charla have faithfully served in local church ministries, while
maturing spiritually both as individuals and as a family. Recently, the Lord has drawn their hearts to
missions and led them to a different appreciation for and understanding of lost people. In
February, 2006 Paul visited India and Nepal as part of an exploratory trip for their church and was
personally convicted by what he witnessed.
His heart was broken for the lost people of the "10/40
window", the region of the world where the largest population of non-Christians lives. God
showed Paul how native Nepali, Tibetan, and Indian missionaries were
being used to share the gospel
with their own people. He revealed opportunities to help expand His Kingdom through supporting,
reaching, and training indigenous children and people of Nepal. Paul knew right away that God was
calling him to
use his gifts to share this vision with the people back home in the United States.
Charla had the opportunity to follow in Paul's footsteps in April of 2007, and visit the
places and people that had set Paul's heart on fire. She too returned, filled with a great desire
to become involved and to enlist others in a "mission" to reach the lost.
Since their trips, Paul and Charla have been praying about how their gifts and abilities might
be used by God, especially for the people of Asia. In answer to prayer, the opportunity came to
serve with Allow the
Children. As representatives of the ministry, they hope to advance His kingdom
by sharing the need and the vision of the work with individuals and groups in the United States.
